Step away from the daily grind and into a space entirely dedicated to simple living, mindfulness, and personal wellbeing. Nestled within 11 acres of Carolina Sandhills countryside, this authentic, open-air Hawaii-style hut offers a genuine digital detox, forest bathing, and quiet contemplation—without the crowds or noise of a public campground.
Your four-legged family member doesn’t have to stay on a leash. The hut is situated inside its own fully fenced playground, giving your dog the freedom to safely roam, sniff, and play off-leash while you relax.
Elevated off the ground and fully sheltered from the elements, this beautifully crafted, screened-in hut lets you sleep immersed in the sights and sounds of the forest while staying completely dry and bug-free. Think of it like tent camping, but comfortable and well-equipped.
The Contrast Therapy Experience
We designed this space to help you reset both mind and body through the power of hot and cold therapy:
The Sauna: Unwind, sweat out the stress, and deeply relax your muscles in our authentic, shared, wood-stove sauna, located just a short walk through the woods.
The Eco-Bathroom: Your private bathroom features a composting toilet and an invigorating cold-water shower. Pairing a hot sauna session with this cold-water rinse is the ultimate way to boost your immune system, improve circulation, and jump start your metabolism.
Comfortable Sleeping: Features one plush Full-sized bed equipped with a heavy, warm duvet. For chilly nights when temperatures drop below 50°F, we provide an electric blanket to keep you perfectly toasty. (A twin cot can be set up for a third guest upon request).
The Basics: A convenient indoor food prep and coffee station complete with a mini-fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, fresh water dispenser, and a cozy dining table for two.
Fully Fenced Yard: Rest easy knowing the enclosed perimeter keeps local wildlife and our dogs out, giving your pet a secure space to stretch their legs.
Outdoor Kitchenette: Outfitted with a propane grill, an outdoor sink with a water hose, and a storage cabinet fully stocked with dishes, pots, pans, and cooking utensils.
Relaxation: Share stories around the fire pit for evening campfires, or afternoon nap in one of the two cozy hammocks.
We are passionately committed to protecting the earth and preserving the local ecosystem. Our entire property is a strictly chemical-free, scent-free, and sustainable environment to keep the soil and wildlife thriving.
As our guest, you have full, unrestricted access to our 8-acre private forest. Wander along the 1/3-mile loop trail to discover a diversity of native plants, vibrant wildflowers, and local wildlife.
An Authentic Open-Air Note: Because this is a true screened hut without solid walls, you are a living part of the woods. You will hear the beautiful, natural soundtrack of the region, including the morning crow of our rooster, our goose chatting, or passing wildlife. We provide two pairs of high-quality earplugs if you prefer total silence. Also, please note that falling pine cones on the metal roof can occasionally sound quite loud!
While you are completely tucked away down a quiet, unpaved private road where you cannot see the main house or the street, you are never far from convenience:
5 minutes to groceries, pharmacy, ATM, gas, and chain and local eats.
10 minutes to the I-95 corridor
15 minutes to St. Pauls
20 minutes to Downtown Fayetteville, Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, Crown Coliseum, and Hope Mills
20–30 minutes: to Fort Bragg and Lumberton
What to Bring: Pack your bathing suit, a sun hat, your favorite food, drinks, and a good book! We will handle all the rest.
No Hot Water and No Heaters: To maintain our eco-friendly footprint and due to the nature of the open structure, there is no hot water on the premises (both the sinks and shower are cold water). Space heaters are strictly prohibited as they are a fire hazard in the open hut, but our heavy duvet and electric blanket will keep you incredibly warm at night.
Pet Policy: We love dogs! There is a pet fee of $15 per dog, per day (which drops to an affordable $10 per day for extended stays longer than 5 days).
Arrival and Parking: We provide free parking for up to two vehicles. From the designated parking area, it is a scenic 200-foot walk through the woods to reach your hut, so please bring a flash light, appropriate footwear and easy-to-carry luggage.
Same-Day Bookings: Because this unique open-air structure requires dedicated daylight preparation and deep cleaning to meet our standards, we kindly ask that you do not inquire about same-day bookings after Noon.
