Serene Woodland is an eleven-acre private estate located in the Sandhills region of southeastern North Carolina. The property functions as a habitat for birds, pollinators, amphibians, reptiles, and various insects native to the area.

Sustainability, permaculture, and wildscaping principles guide the management of the land. The gardens provide food for both its residents and local wildlife. The landscape includes fruit trees, perennial herbs, and flowers that support a diverse population of birds, butterflies, bees, and beneficial insects.

The woods currently host 54 species of birds and 21 species of amphibians and reptiles. The property features 85 species of native trees and shrubs, along with nearly 40 species of native wildflowers.

The estate offers a quiet environment for guests to spend time in nature. The accommodations are designed to be clean and functional, while the primary focus remains the surrounding environment.

We didn’t realize we were signing up for a buffet service, but when the ducklings hear that food container, they don't take "no" for an answer! Even Pam the goose had to share the spotlight today.
